Ahwatukee Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Designed by Arizona golf legend John Bulla, Ahwatukee Country Club serves up a challenging yet fair 6,713 yard, par-72 layout that sits in the foothills of Phoenix's rugged South Mountains. The course first opened for play in 1973.
This course is pretty wide open, however, there are out-of-bounds stakes on both sides of the house-lined fairways. The greens are fast. Water comes into play on a few holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,713 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,506 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 549 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 186 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 10, a 397-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 5, a 192 yard par-3.
While "country club" is in the name, (and Ahwatukee does, in fact, offer membership opportunities), the club happily welcomes daily-fee play, year round.

Like the layout, have played it many times. Sometimes the greens are really nice and roll true, othertimes they are very slow and bumpy. Course is not overly difficult, but a nice price if you are looking to work on your game or just want some time on the course.

Very slow play. No ranger was present to keep play moving.

Not a difficult course, good value, fairways and greens were not overseeded for winter and so were brown and greens very hard and fast. Good course to work on your game when down in the sunny south without paying a lot.
